A sundial shows solar time, which can be up to 16 minutes different from your clock time. This difference is called the Equation of Time.
How to use this table: Find today's date in the "Day of Year Calendar" below. Look up that day number in this table to see the correction.
- If the status is "Fast", it means the sundial is ahead of your clock. To get the real time, you must subtract the minutes from the sundial's reading.
- If the status is "Slow", the sundial is behind your clock. To get the real time, you must add the minutes to the sundial's reading.
